Are we living in a Dystopian World?

A world full of despair,

Amplified by the whiff of emptiness in the air

Flowers no longer bloom,

Instead plagued by an uprising sense of gloom

Long gone are the days of warmth and happiness,

For all that exists now is a sense of melancholy

Humanity has well and truly become contrived,

No longer the perfect place for its citizens to thrive

The world has descended into a callous situation,

One for which there is no true explanation

We’ve descended into a calamity,

Leading to an overflow of insanity

Individuals are said to be released,

Their rights subtly and promptly ceased

If there is anything that is guaranteed,

It is that such a society must be dystopian indeed

The pastures of the world lie in memories,

In forgotten memories of the past

Which are to never be yielded again,

For they are perceived begrudgingly as a bane

Time is no longer existent,

Yet humanity seems to be becoming ever so distant

We must reignite our lingering souls and ponder,

Are we really living in a Dystopian World?
